- New game type ‘Wingman’ 10 players split into teams of two.each team is played as different character (eg Marcus and Marcus vs Dom and Dom etc)
- Features Matchmaking
- New game type ‘meat flag’ sort of like CTF but epic have done this in their own way. The flag will instead be character wandering around the center of the map. He has his own weapons and even a place on the leader board.To capture him you will need to down him and pick him up as a meat shield and take him back, slowly, to your base. If you shoot the meat flag enough times while he’s being dragged back to base, his captor will loose him and he’ll go crazy on everyone around him.
- Specific weapons will cycle round the maps.
- Stopping power - if your running towards an enemy but he is firing straight into your chest, you will slow down.
- The opportunity to spawn with either the lancer or hammer burst.
- Bullet shields. big metal shield that stops you from getting hit. can be planted into the ground to make a new cover. enemies can kick it down though if they get close enough. However you can only use a pistol when carrying it also it slows you down drastically.
- Grenades can be stuck anywhere. not just on enemies. they can be planted on the ground,walls,doors etc to produce a proximity mine.
- Smoke grenades carry a stun effect that rag dolls anyone in range.
- On games with no respawn, when you are dead you can fly around the map as a “ghost cam”. You can even take screen shots that will be uploaded to the community.
- New map - ‘river’ - symmetrical map, each team has a thin strip of land with a house and sniping tower, and in between them a river.
- New map - ‘Security’ - long thin map. to the left and right are stairs leading to veranda’s that run the entire length of the map. you are barred access however by red lasers, which will kill you if attempting to pass through. A power weapon is barred on the other side of the map while at the other it is defended by sentry guns. There is a button in the middle of the map that turns the lasers and sentry’s off for 20 seconds.
- “X” button: Traditional curb-stomp.
- “B” button: Melee attack that will be weapon specific. (Longshot sniper rifle will be used as a golf club of death.)
- “Y” button: Flips your opponent over and let’s you punch in their face … UFC style.
- “A” button: Use your enemy as a “meatshield” that limits your weapon choice to a pistol.
- All weapons have a variable amount of “stopping power” that’ll slow down an opponent’s running or diving abilities.
- Whoever does the quickest amount of “B” button tapping will be victorious.
- Your teammates can help give you an edge in the duel by shooting the opponent which will give you the upper hand on the “B” button mini-game.
- No duel will occur if a player is chainsawed from behind. Instead, “butt to head” chainsaw animation will kick in giving the attacker and instant kill.
- Two people can chainsaw one guy at the same time.

Rumores sobre Halo 4

De acordo com um post num blog chamado space oddity http://thespaceoddity.wordpress.com/2008/05/12/ a empresa Gearbox teria tomado as rédeas da série e que a Microsoft irá anunciar o jogo em breve.





Demo de Too Human em breve

Denis Dyack CEO da Silicon Knights disse numa entrevista para a Eurogamer que o demo de Too Human deve chegar ao marketplace em breve. Aqui está o texto original: “We haven’t announced a date yet. Our goal is to try to get it out obviously before the game releases, and we’ll announce the specific timing of that shortly. But a demo is absolutely planned. We think it’s critical for the game. If things go as planned, gamers should get a demo well in advance before the game’s released.”





Splatterhouse será lançado para ps3 e xbox 360

O site 1UP revelou que ps3 e xbox 360 terão a nova versão do jogo Splatterhouse previsto até a metade de 2009. BottleRocket, estúdio que ficou conhecido por ter trabalhado em Rise of the Kasai (PS2) e Xiaolin Showdown (PS2, DS e Wii), é o responsável pela produçào do jogo.

Acima está a primeira imagem do protagonista do jogo.





Problemas com GTA IV

De acordo com o preview da 1UP, o tão aguardado GTA IV sofre com os mesmos problemas que os seus antecessores. Problemas com o framerate, texturas que demoram para carregar, objetos que aparecem apenas quando vc está muito próximo, carros que desaparecem e reaparecem dependendo da forma como a câmera é usada etc… Quem jogou qualquer GTA a partir do 3 sabe muito bem sobre esses problemas. Aparentemente a rockstar tomou algumas providencias para amenizá-los, mas ainda vamos ter que enfrentá-los.

Conteúdo extra de Alone in the Dark para PS3 pode ser realidade

Donos de playstation 3 comecem a comemorar. Um dos jogos que mais prometem esse ano, Alone in the Dark, poderá ter conteúdo extra no playstation 3. É o que a Atari promete. Foi dito ainda que ocorreu um atraso em relação a versão do xbox 360 porque a produtora não quer apenas fazer um port e sim adaptar para conseguir o melhor resultado no ps3. A data do lançamento vai ser próxima da primavera para os que vivem no hemisfério sul e outono para o hesmifério norte. Um demo deverá ser lançado antes do jogo na PSN.





Ain’t Cool News faz o review de GTA IV

O site Ain’t Cool News fez o seu review de GTA IV.

“But perhaps the coolest thing I saw while he was playing was when he stopped touching the controller. Niko stood still while Steve was occupied with something and right there, a taxi got rear-ended by another car.

What followed was pure magic.
The cabbie and the guy who hit the taxi jumped out of their cars and approached each other. Once they got in to each others’ face the fists started flying. Meanwhile, cars are honking for the two vehicles to get out of the way. The two keep slugging away and a cop pulls up. He jumps out with his pistol drawn and both men throw their hands to the sky, surrendering. The cop then drags the cabbie away (he punched first), puts him in the backseat of the cop car and drives off. The other driver returns to his car, gets in and pulls away.

Holy shit.”

Enemy Territory: Quake Wars nas lojas dia 30 de maio

Finalmente a Activision divulgou a data de lançamento da versão para o playstation 3 e xbox 360. A versão para PC saiu a um bom tempo ja e agora as pessoas como eu, cujo computador não roda o enemey territory, vão poder experimentar esse maravilhoso jogo no seu console. Vamos torcer para que as duas versões sejam tão boas como a do PC.

Se você alguma vez jogou na xbox live com certeza você ja encontrou com aqueles tipos irritantes. Geralmente garotos na puberdade, com vozes agudas e que adoram gritar: “FUCK YOU FAG!!! BLA BLA BLA I’M GONNA KICK YOUR ASS!! SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!” Aqui vai uma listinha dos 10 tipos mais irritantes, segundo o site kezin. Não esta traduzido, mas se vocês quiserem eu traduzo. 10. The sore loser

  • There’s usually not too many worse people in any game than a sore loser. It’s just a game people!

09. The my rank is better than your rank guy (who is usually worse at actually playing the game than you)

  • Although these douche bags can sometimes make a game fun, especially when you completely own them, they are usually just a waste of time. I never understood why so many people boost their ranks just so they can talk a little smack in the pre-game lobby.

08. The guy playing the radio in the background who thinks it’s cute or amusing in some way

  • Note that this guy is often the same person as #6, #5, and #4.

07. The no skill teabagger

  • This is the guy who is on the team that’s losing by 25 kills in a slayer match, but somehow finds it appropriate to tea-bag the opposition whenever he gets a lucky kill in. Perhaps I’m a bit of a tea-bagging purist, considering I believe you should only tea-bag people talking too much smack or if you are just completely dominating them. When are we as gamers going to create some sort of tea-bagging ethics standard?

06. The team killer

  • What else do I need to say? This is typically the 10 year-old who obviously has parents who don’t pay enough attention to them. I wish we could find a way to keep little kids out of public adult games like Halo.

  • Usually the same guy as #10.

04. The high pitched 5-year old

  • Where the f**k are these kid’s parents at?

03. The voice masker

  • Nothing is more annoying than retarded voice masks. This also applies to people who just have weird voices that make us assume they are masked.

02. The highly skilled Halo 3 player who is a prick about it

  • So, this person is one of the best Halo 3 players on the planet? So what! What are they doing in a social match talking trash to their own team members and opposition? If they really have mastered the game, perhaps it’s time to do something more challenging. Nothing is sadder than an individual whose greatest accomplishment in life has something to do with Halo stats.

01. The guy who plays CTF like he’s playing Slayer

  • This is one of those annoying players who simply plays to keep their K/D ratio up, regardless of the game type. They will always have great looking stats in CTF matches even if their team gets destroyed. It’s not always about kills people!
