Como as vezes não se sabe quais notícias são rumores ainda e quais foram confirmadas:

- It will be a larger, more intense Battlefield.

- Assassination game type altered. everyone respawns until their leader is dead. when the leader is killed they stop respawing and the game ends when everyone is dead on one team.
- Assassination renamed ‘Guardian’.
- New game type ‘Wingman’ 10 players split into teams of two.each team is played as different character (eg Marcus and Marcus vs Dom and Dom etc)
- Features Matchmaking
- New game type ‘meat flag’ sort of like CTF but epic have done this in their own way. The flag will instead be character wandering around the center of the map. He has his own weapons and even a place on the leader board.To capture him you will need to down him and pick him up as a meat shield and take him back, slowly, to your base. If you shoot the meat flag enough times while he’s being dragged back to base, his captor will loose him and he’ll go crazy on everyone around him.
- Specific weapons will cycle round the maps.
- Stopping power - if your running towards an enemy but he is firing straight into your chest, you will slow down.
- The opportunity to spawn with either the lancer or hammer burst.
- Bullet shields. big metal shield that stops you from getting hit. can be planted into the ground to make a new cover. enemies can kick it down though if they get close enough. However you can only use a pistol when carrying it also it slows you down drastically.
- Grenades can be stuck anywhere. not just on enemies. they can be planted on the ground,walls,doors etc to produce a proximity mine.
- Smoke grenades carry a stun effect that rag dolls anyone in range.
- On games with no respawn, when you are dead you can fly around the map as a “ghost cam”. You can even take screen shots that will be uploaded to the community.
- New map - ‘river’ - symmetrical map, each team has a thin strip of land with a house and sniping tower, and in between them a river.
- New map - ‘Security’ - long thin map. to the left and right are stairs leading to veranda’s that run the entire length of the map. you are barred access however by red lasers, which will kill you if attempting to pass through. A power weapon is barred on the other side of the map while at the other it is defended by sentry guns. There is a button in the middle of the map that turns the lasers and sentry’s off for 20 seconds.
- “X” button: Traditional curb-stomp.
- “B” button: Melee attack that will be weapon specific. (Longshot sniper rifle will be used as a golf club of death.)
- “Y” button: Flips your opponent over and let’s you punch in their face … UFC style.
- “A” button: Use your enemy as a “meatshield” that limits your weapon choice to a pistol.
- All weapons have a variable amount of “stopping power” that’ll slow down an opponent’s running or diving abilities.
- Whoever does the quickest amount of “B” button tapping will be victorious.
- Your teammates can help give you an edge in the duel by shooting the opponent which will give you the upper hand on the “B” button mini-game.
- No duel will occur if a player is chainsawed from behind. Instead, “butt to head” chainsaw animation will kick in giving the attacker and instant kill.
- Two people can chainsaw one guy at the same time.

Gears of War 2: 5x MAIOR!

É o que prometeu Cliff Bleszinski semana passada em São Francisco. Ele disse que a engine Unreal nunca para de evoluir e que isso traz muitas possibilidades novas. Leiam o que ele disse: “[Unreal Engine has] never stopped evolving. The character lighting is vastly improved, the environment is chippable and the tress get knocked down as physics objects. There’s just so much shit going on, it’s five times bigger this time. I think it shows the engines got smoother.”

Estamos esperando ansiosos :)





Hellboy: The Science of Evil

No jogo a linha entre inimigos e armas muitas vezes não fica clara.

Logo no início, as cutscenes mostram um plano nazista pra dominar o mundo relacionado com um graveyard (cemitério) localizado nas Montanhas Carpathian da Romenia. Ai mesmo se passa a primeira fase cheia de inimigos parecidos com pequenos Gremlins chamados de Bambinis que podem ser pegos por Hellboy abrindo um leque de opções sobre o que fazer com eles, como por exemplo arremessá-los contra seus semelhantes ou jogá-los em cursed graves (túmulos amaldiçoados) fazendo assim surgir monstrinhos, fazendo isso umas 2 vezes o túmulo quebra e libera coisas como munição e armas. Caso vc se perca deve procurar uma porta de pedra que mostrará o caminho quando o x (do controle do xbox) for pressionado.

Os gráficos do protagonista são extremamente fieis ao do personagem das telinhas, porém os gráficos do jogo não possuem a mesma qualidade do Hellboy.

Agora é analisar o custo benefício e partir pra loja mais próxima ou pra próxima notícia… :)





Xbox 360 chegando no limite gráfico

Mark Terrano, desenvolvedor de jogos para a Hidden Path Entertainment disse numa entrevista conduzida pelo Major Nelson que o Xbox 360 está alcançando seu limite gráfico. Vejam um pedaço da entrevista: Major: Looking back on all the work you’ve done in the industry, are you surprised at where you are today in terms of technology or do you see alot of power in the box to be unlocked - specifically for the Xbox 360..

Developer: I think we’ve really pushed where we can go graphically, I think realism is losing some of the luster - I would love to see some work done on what we call “non-photo realistic rendering”, paint-related techniques, we do things you can do in movies but I’m more interested in what you can’t do in movies…

Major: Interesting..

Developer. I thought it was sad that we had to let the Matrix to show how fun Bullet-Time could be, we (developers) have control of the camera, we have control of the content, we’re not limited by lenses etc, we (the industry) can do alot more things to draw the players attention to tell a story that haven’t been discovered by movie camera’s.

Major: Interesting, I never really thought of it like that. Why keep pushing the photo-realism that you could do more things to make the gameplay more effective.

Developer: Right. And I think the bar could be alot higher with animation and A.I, the things really cue into when interacting with an environment to make it more believable, to just make the characters - the scenes, we interact with more fun. We’re seeing really good physics now, we all know how much fun it is to drive and smash cars in BURNOUT and do alot of things to make it more fun with the physics..etc

Demo de Too Human em breve

Denis Dyack CEO da Silicon Knights disse numa entrevista para a Eurogamer que o demo de Too Human deve chegar ao marketplace em breve. Aqui está o texto original: “We haven’t announced a date yet. Our goal is to try to get it out obviously before the game releases, and we’ll announce the specific timing of that shortly. But a demo is absolutely planned. We think it’s critical for the game. If things go as planned, gamers should get a demo well in advance before the game’s released.”





Microsoft anuncia oficialmente line up para xbox 360

Banjo-Kazooie, Viva Pinata são os dois nomes que a Microsoft anunciou no line up de 2008.

Em Banjo-Kazooie, os jogadores poderão customizar veículos pra ajudar Banjo a completar suas missões que serão focadas em resolver puzzles, explorar e descobrir coisas ocultas no jogo para ganhar recompensas. Com vontade de ver um video????? Aí vai:
