Hands on the Silent Hill: Homecoming

Hands on da Gamespot desse jogo apavorante, vejam um pedacinho do hands on: “…Silent Hill’s Homecoming was scary, and at least in the cases we saw, they succeeded. There was a startling scene on display where Shepherd entered a flooded basement knee-deep with bubbling water. As he peered into its depths, a gash-faced monster peered back, and then attacked. In another scene, Shepherd was helplessly strapped to a hospital gurney propelled by a grim surgeon past operating rooms full of horrific silhouettes emanating terrifying sounds.”

Novidades de Resident Evil 5

Novidades sobre o jogo foram reveladas pela revista Famitsu, aqui são algumas delas tiradas do site neogaff:

- A new trailer will be shown in the very near future.
- For now, Famitsu will show images and some info from one part of that trailer. (intro paragraph written by Takeuchi)
- There’s a new female character, shown holding a shotgun and wearing a tank top and boots similar to the ones Jill wore in RE3.
- In addition to areas that make use of sunlight as a gameplay dynamic, there will be darker, shadow-filled areas as well, such as a cavern where Chris utilizes a flashlight. There will be an intense contrast between light and dark.
- Chris is shown using his knife, a sniper rifle above a bridge that’s above a river, and of course the handgun.
- A few pieces of artwork are shown, such Chris fighting villagers near a crashed helicopter, that same helicopter flying amidst a smoke-filled sky, and Chris witnessing the helicopter being shot down. There’s also some kind of garden in the cavern with a giant hole above it, allowing the sunlight in.
- Chris is shown holding a blond girl noticeably shorter than him in a building.
- A picture of a chainsaw and the right leg of its weilder is shown.
- Chris will be up against very powerful enemies once again, and this shot of some creature behind iron bars is reminiscent of Chris’s previous enemies, such as CODE: Veronica’s Nosferatu (although it was Claire who faced him) and the REmake’s Lisa Trevor. Those two creatures were imprisoned at some point as well.

Hands on de Alone in the Dark

O site gameplayer fez um hands on sobre a nova versão do clássico Alone in the Dark. Segundo o texto a história é excelente mas o jogo tem problemas graves no que diz respeito aos controles. Vejam um pedacinho do texto.

“Alone in the Dark may get classed as an adventure game (of sorts), but in truth it’s a wonderful blend of genres. Yes, there are object puzzles and there’s a lot of lateral thinking required, but there is also gunplay, car driving, and a touch of platforming. Rather than serving a particular video game formula, the gameplay has been built around the story.”

Zumbis no multiplayer de GTA IV

Há uma discussão no fórum da gametrailers sobre zumbis no modo multiplayer de GTA IV. Existem bastante pessoas que já viram zumbis, mas esse é o primeiro caso de alguém que é transformado em um. Muitas pessoas tem teorias sobre isso, já disseram que você pode ficar assim se matar um funcionário da Rockstar, se você for morto por um funcionário da Rockstar e ficar em primeiro no ranking.

Valve esnoba o PS3

Doug Lombardi recentemente numa demonstração de Left 4 Dead disse que a Valve não é uma desenvolvedora de jogos para PS3, eles vão apenas se dedicar a produção de jogos para PC e Xbox 360. Assim como aconteceu com Orange Box a Valve se dedicará a essas duas plataformas e se uma outra empresa, segundo as palavras dele, quiser assumir o risco e a responsabilidade para portar os jogos para o PS3 num futuro talvez será possível ver títulos como Left 4 Dead no console da sony. Sinceramente se alguma empresa(EA) fizer um serviço porco portando Left 4 Dead como foi feito o port de Orange Box, eu prefiro passar bem longe do jogo.
