Todos nós já ouvimos o discurso do Kojima dizendo que o Snake deve encontrar seu fim em MGS4. Mas a Konami não parece estar muito contente em acabar com a série. O que vocês acham ? Será que Metal Gear vai ser a mesma coisa com outra história e sem um personagem tão carismático como o Snake ? Comentem.

GTA IV estaria influenciando a quantidade de notícias ?

Gente, vocês repararam uma diminuição na quantidade de posts no blog ? Não é preguiça da nossa parte. Mas desde o lançamento do GTA IV parece que aconteceu uma diminuição de notícias boas. Lógico que não vamos encher o blog de porcaria pra vocês lerem, damos destaque para os maiores e melhores jogos até porque não temos um pequeno exército para escrever o dia todo e a maioria das pessoas não querem ler por exemplo sobre um jogo obscuro que vai ser lançado só no japão. Então gostaríamos de avisá-los que estamos de olho nas notícias, é só que não tem muita coisa boa pra falar. Agora mudando de assunto, alguém ai jogou o demo de Haze ? Eu esperava tanto e achei tão meia boca… Comentem e deixem as suas opinões.





Novidades sobre Siren: New Translation(Blood Curse)

Uma reportagem da famitsu traz muitos detalhes sobre o jogo. Vou reproduzi-lo aqui pra vocês.

” Those that weaved the nightmare:
The “Siren” series has always been based on various Japanese cultures and folklores. The base concept for this new game is “looking in from a different cultural perspective”, with new characters giving the first game of the series a new translation. This is a introduction to two of those new characters that will appear in the game.

Prologue:
August 3, 2007. An American television crew has suddenly lost contact while covering their story in the deep mountains of Japan. The well-beings of the missing crew are still unknown. Up until the crew completely lost their contact, they were reporting on “found traces of human sacrifice” in the remains of a village which supposedly was wiped out by a land-slide in 1976. The name of that village was Hanyuda…

A bull-headed cultural anthropologist Sam Monroe:
A cultural anthropologist who works at an easy job at a third rate university. His stubborn personality always gets him into trouble by being perverse on his own believes and understanding of things. Having both family and financial troubles, Sam joined the TV crew out of desperation in exchange for a particular unknown condition. This caused Sam to be involved in the strange incident that happened in Hanyuda Village.

Cable TV Reporter Melissa Gale:
An American cable TV reporter. Divorced with Sam Monroe a few years ago. Melissa is troubled by the dilemma of her passion for work and the love for her daughter who lives apart from her. While reporting from the remains of Hanyuda Village, she is also one of the witnesses to the strange incident.

-Staying alive by using two modes of the “New Sight-Jack”:
Changes made in the “New Translation” are not just the main characters’ looks and stories. The series’ unique game system of “Sight-Jack” has also been drastically refined. It is now possible to have split screens during Sight-Jack. With this new function, you will no longer need to switch screens to know exactly what the shibito’s actions are. There will also be a “Search Mode” which allows you to Sight-Jack multiple shibitos at once, and a “Action Mode” which allows you to move while Sight-Jacking.

What is “Sight-Jack”:
Sight-Jack is a unique game system to the series which allows you to look from other character’s eyes/perspective. You need this to figure out the patterns of “the dead” to avoid danger, or to get certain informations that you will need in order to move to safety. There are many ways which you can utilize this function. Using the Sight-Jack to stay alive, will also be the heart of this game.

“Search Mode”:
The screen will enter Search Mode when L2 button is pushed. You will be able to start search for “sights” when L1 or R1 is pushed. Up to 3 different found “sights” can be saved and displayed on screen at once.

“Action Mode”:
During Search Mode, you can select one particular “Jacked-Sight” to enter Action Mode. This allows you to move and attack WHILE Sight-Jacking the enemy. The clarity of the Sight-Jack will also become clearer if your character stops moving for a certain amount of time. “





Gears of War 2: 5x MAIOR!

É o que prometeu Cliff Bleszinski semana passada em São Francisco. Ele disse que a engine Unreal nunca para de evoluir e que isso traz muitas possibilidades novas. Leiam o que ele disse: “[Unreal Engine has] never stopped evolving. The character lighting is vastly improved, the environment is chippable and the tress get knocked down as physics objects. There’s just so much shit going on, it’s five times bigger this time. I think it shows the engines got smoother.”

Detalhes sobre armas de Resistance 2

Detalhes sobre novas armas foram revelados numa entrevista do site 1UP com James Stevenson. Leiam na integra sobre elas: ” The Marksman is apparenetly a mid-range sniper rifle that is semi-automatic, but it is said to be just as powerful as the L23 Fareye so this could become a formidible weapon.

While the Minigun was previously announced, details of the secondary fire have been revealed. It allows the user to put down a tri-pod, which means the user then cannot move. However, a shield is put up infront of the user making them almost invincible to attacks from the front. However, they will still be weak from behind, or a well aimed shot from a sniper.”

Teoria sobre Metal Gear 4

Surgiu no site gameguru uma teoria bombástica sobre esse rapaz ai da foto. Não sei se essa teoria vai se concretizar mas se esse for o caso, vai mudar e muito o que esperamos de MGS4. Não vou escrever aqui porque ela contém spoilers então vou deixar o link pra vocês. Vejam por sua conta e risco.

Mais rumores de Bioshock

Bom, eu já não sei no que acreditar… Uma hora dizem que o Bioshock vem pro PS3, outra hora dizem que não. Segundo o site talkplaystation existe uma grande possibilidade do jogo dar as caras no console da Sony, eles citam até um pedaço do código do config.ini do jogo:

Console (XBox360, PS3) specific settings

StreamingDynamicFloatingLimit:

If this is a positive number, then instead of using the fixed per-level

limits, the StreamingDynamic resource will use as much memory as is

Nada de Bioshock para PS3

Pois é, foi bom enquanto durou… Nada de Bioshock para o console da Sony. Segundo o site Bitbag isso é apenas um rumor, eles entraram em contato com o pessoal da 2k e essa foi a resposta: “2K has not made any announcements regarding a PS3 version, which makes it a rumor and it is company policy to not comment on rumors. Please note that we have you coded to receive all press releases, so when any significant company news breaks, you’ll be on the front lines of receiving an official notification.”

É uma pena, eu possuo uma cópia do jogo que foi presente da minha querida meinegeist, mas confesso que gostaria de comprar uma versão pra PS3. Depois que o meu Xbox 360 deu 3rl eu não sei por quanto tempo essa coisa vai aguentar.





Hands on the Silent Hill: Homecoming

Hands on da Gamespot desse jogo apavorante, vejam um pedacinho do hands on: “…Silent Hill’s Homecoming was scary, and at least in the cases we saw, they succeeded. There was a startling scene on display where Shepherd entered a flooded basement knee-deep with bubbling water. As he peered into its depths, a gash-faced monster peered back, and then attacked. In another scene, Shepherd was helplessly strapped to a hospital gurney propelled by a grim surgeon past operating rooms full of horrific silhouettes emanating terrifying sounds.”
